There’s new information on a shooting this morning that left a suspect dead and a Tallahassee police officer wounded.
Police say the suspect was wanted by authorities in Colorado, but turned up in Tallahassee at about 4:15 this morning.
When an officer went to pull him over at the Shell gas station on Capital Circle Northwest, the two became involved in a struggle.
The suspect took off on foot but didn't get far. Police say an officer opened fire, fatally shooting the man.
People who work in the area say they're very shaken up by the violence. The unnamed TPD officer is in the hospital but is expected to be okay.
Right now he's on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
