By Monday night, folks in our area will see a new air medical service taking flight. At 9 p.m. Lifenet will take the place of Life Flight as an air medical provider.
The Lifenet chopper is a traveling emergency room that will cover a 150-mile radius.
Lifenet officials say they're prepared for takeoff.
"The whole program is extremely excited about kicking Lifenet Tallahassee off in a very professional way, and its going very well," said James McCoy of Lifenet Tallahassee.
The total cost of the chopper is estimated at $1 million.
