A local pianist is continuing his effort to bring peace with music.
Marvin Goldstein has been traveling throughout the Middle East, Canada, Holland and Central America organizing concerts.
Along with jazz singer Pam Laws, his goal is to use music to transcend barriers created by language, politics, religion and race.
Goldstein said, "It's so pleasing to see the Arab man and Jewish woman, or respective opposites, sitting there and there are smiles on their faces at the same time."
The Tallahassee native has been tickling the ivories for more than 40 years.
After an endorsement from Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, Goldstein hopes to meet with President Bush this fall. The accomplished pianist is now getting ready to tour the U.S. with country singer and Quincy native Billy Dean.
