Some new additions are being added to the Florida Capital. A 50-foot long statue of 11 bottle nose dolphins is being added to the west entrance of the Sunshine State Capital.
Hugh Nicholson has been sculpting for 20 years and envisioned this project as a tribute to Florida’s animals, some of which are endangered.
Nicholson says being a Florida resident brings this project close to home.
"The Florida symbols are largely, endangered or threatened animals, and this is a possibility of showcasing...that environmental exhibit," said Nicholson.
You will be able to see the dolphin statue at the official unveiling, set for Tuesday, July 29.
