The daily double answer: a local teacher to become the latest contestant on Jeopardy.

Your time is up, the correct question: who is Sean Carson?

Carson teaches social studies at Aucilla Christian Academy in Jefferson County and is showcasing his intellect and knowledge on the air. He says his grandmother is a Jeopardy fan and encouraged him to appear on the game show.

Carson earned a spot on the show after answering questions on the Internet and headed to Orlando to compete.

“My grandmother, who asked me to try out, passed away the weekend before the tryout. So I went to central Florida to a funeral and tried out the next day,” said Carson.

Carson shared that story with producers and landed a spot on the show.

Be sure to tune in Monday night at 7:30 p.m. on WCTV to see if Carson has what it takes to become a champion.
