Tallahassee's ATM bandits struck again over the weekend, but their persistence still hasn't paid off. They were able to get an ATM out of Gate Gas station on Sunday morning, but didn't get too far.
Surveillance cameras captured the suspects attempting to steal the machine last week from that same store on Tallahassee's South Blairstone Road, their crime captured again on camera Sunday morning. This time they were able to drag it out of the store using chains and a stolen truck.
CAPT Robert Swearingen with the Leon County Sheriff's Office said, "I'm not surprised, as many attempts as they've had, they're bound to be successful sooner or later. We're just looking forward to being able to put these folks in a pair of handcuffs and put them where they belong."
Detectives with the Sheriff's Office and the Tallahassee Police Department believe the group is linked to at least 13 other unsuccessful ATM heists in the last month.
