Local Reaction to War in Iraq

As the death toll rises in Iraq, Americans are speaking out against and for the efforts overseas. Four months have passed since the U.S. invasion on Iraqi soil.

A few days ago we saw the bodies of Saddam Hussein’s sons, but we've also heard reports of more U.S. casualties.

While many people feel the U.S. is gaining ground, others have been against the war from the start.

"We were in there trying to make it better for the people, and we are going to have causalities," said Pat Keeney, who supports the war. Harriet Walls, who is against the war says, "To me it is a real dilemma. I just don't like it."

So far, 163 U.S. soldiers have died in the war, that's 16 more than the number killed in the 1991 Gulf War.
