First Lady Columba Bush is helping Tallahassee's Kate Sullivan Elementary school celebrate "Hispanic Heritage Month" with music, arts, crafts and more.
For one parent with Cuban heritage an event like this is brings an understanding to children.
"I believe they need to know the surrounding cultures and it broadens their horizon basically and realize all the different ethnics and the variety of people we have around and what they bring to our cultures and our state," said Yunia Interian.
Gov. Bush and First Lady encourage Floridians to participate in the month long celebration with events designed to tribute Hispanic culture in Florida.
