Tallahassee Mayor John Marks is back in Florida's Capital City after spending nearly a week in Krasnodar, Russia. Marks made the trip to re-establish a sister city relationship with the Russian city and has signed an official agreement.
Tallahassee and Krasnodar shared resources in the 80's however, the relationship went cold after the collapse of the Soviet Union.
Mayor Marks said, "We've got to go ahead and see if we can do some very good things for both the people of Krasnodar and the people of Tallahassee and I look forward to working with local representatives in Tallahassee to solidify that."
Marks says he also discussed the possibility of sharing economic, cultural and education resources with the Russian city. Tallahassee has sister city relationships with three other cities around the world.
