Gov. Jeb Bush unveiled the new efforts Monday, including an Amber Alert-style billboard which will feature Zachary Bernhardt.

The eight-year-old from Clearwater disappeared nearly three years ago.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is asking people to sign up to receive missing child alerts through e-mail and text pagers.

The governor says such technology will allow police to spread the word quickly that a child has been abducted.

People interested in getting the alerts can signup through the FDLE's web site.
