A woman is dead after a collision involving three cars on Interstate 10.
Kendra Pickens died on impact when another car smashed into her overturned car as she was traveling west on I-10 just before the Monroe Street exit.
Troopers say this is how it happened, at around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday night, Pickens first struck a car in front of her, which sent that car spinning into the grass median.
Pickens' car flipped and slid on I-10's right hand lane where it came to rest trapping her inside the car.
The car was on its roof and facing sideways when an oncoming car crushed Pickens’ car, killing her instantly.
The accident is still under investigation to determine if foul play or alcohol was involved and whether Pickens was wearing a seatbelt.
One of the other drivers was taken to Tallahassee Memorial and both of the other drivers were wearing seatbelts.
