Twenty-six-year-old Shaun Washington is facing nearly a dozen charges for an accident back in April.
Tallahassee police say an 11-year-old was behind the wheel of Washington's car when it crashed into a tree at Astoria Arms apartments. Five children were hurt, two of them seriously.
"It's very serious. The defendant is looking at a lot of time in prison on this. You have got to be more responsible. You cannot be drinking alcohol and then get behind the wheel of a car," said assistant state attorney Shirley Bates.
Washington faces not only a DUI charge, but he's accused of driving without a license, negligence and injuring all five children.
His trial is set to begin Tuesday at 9:00 a.m.
