The National Retail Federation is ranking the most popular Halloween costumes for 2006. Once again, princesses are at the top for the second year in a row in the children's category. Pirates, witches, and superheroes follow.
For adults, it's witches and pirates. The Retail Federation estimates about 34 percent of grownups plan to play dress-up this year.
Jamie Shoupe from Tallahassee's Magic and Fun Costume Shop said, "It's fun. You get to be whatever you want, no matter what that is, and it's all acceptable. It's a fun time of year."
It's estimated Americans will shell out $4.96 billion this year for Halloween, making it the sixth most popular holiday.
