Innovation Park's task force, appointed a few months ago to settle its future, worked out some compromises Wednesday.
Tallahassee mayor and Tallahassee Community College's president will be added to the Innovation Park board.
FSU, FAMU and TCC would participate in a business incubator to recruit new jobs.
"This is about partnering with our institutions of higher learning so we an diversify our economy so our kids can stay here and have a family and raise them here, not lose them to Raleigh-Durham or Austin, Texas," says Tony Grippa, Leon County Commission Chairman.
Another plan involves creating an educational quadrant around the park and near the three schools. It would be a zone for encouraging university-related development like housing.
