Just before 8:00 p.m., Florida Highway Patrol Trooper Greg Reed made his first stop of the night, but it wasn't going to be his last.

He was one of twelve state troopers patrolling Leon County all night. Their main target: impaired drivers.

"DUI and alcohol-related crashes cause more death than any other crime," says Lt. Ken Ellis.

More alcohol-related crashes happen on Fridays... than any other nights.

"Hopefully, we want to save some lives and educate some people on the dangers of drinking and driving," says Lt. Ellis.

With the Memorial Day weekend just around the corner, FHP says you should expect to see a saturation of officers keeping watch on the roads in the next several days.

It's not just impaired and speeding drivers they will be after. The national "Click it or ticket" campaign kicks off next week, so make sure you and everyone in your car is buckled up.

A seatbelt violation ticket can cost you more than 100-dollars in Florida.

Took 12 Troopers to do this??!!! Did they even make any DUI arrests, or just use it as a press release?
