A former FCI prison guard took the stand in federal court Thursday to testify against his colleagues, Gregory Dixon and Alan Moore, who are now on trial in a sex for favors scandal.
Alfred Barnes has already pleaded guilty to mail fraud in that case.
Thursday, he took the stand and admitted not only to having sex with inmates and bringing them contraband, but he admitted to turning the other cheek when he saw other officers doing the same thing.
Barnes testified that there was a mutual understanding among guards, including Gregory Dixon and Alan Moore, that if you don't tell on me, I won't tell on you. That agreement was never verbalized, he said, just understood.
Testimony is expected to continue into next week.
