Many folks lined up waiting for the fair gates to open for the final day of the fair. Organizers say the event was a success, bringing in around 100,000 visitors.
Some of the success was a result of new ideas including a separate area for children's rides.
Mark Harvey, manager of the North Florida Fair, said, "The comments that we received about separating the children's rides were very positive so we intend to expand on that we want to bring in some more acts, some more entertainment next year to make it more family oriented."
Organizers and vendors are already packing up some things at the fair. Monday night the fairground is expected to be cleared out.
