A Tallahassee police officer was injured after a traffic stop turned violent. It happened at the USA Food Mart at the corner of Roberts Avenue and Mabry Monday afternoon.

Tallahassee police officers say they pulled two men over for not having a brake light and not wearing seat belts. Minutes later a struggle ensued between three officers and one of the suspects.

Police say the passenger, 27-year-old Terry Brown, was wanted on a probation violation. Officers say when they tried to take him into custody he resisted, fighting three officers on the ground.

One of them was OFC Shannon Brown who was rushed to the hospital with a shoulder injury. The suspect is charged with three counts of battery on an officer and resisting arrest with violence.

We've also learned this is not the first time police have had a problem with Brown. They say his probation violation was for resisting arrest, the very same thing that got him into trouble this time around.

All three officers involved went to the hospital and are expected to be okay. One of them had a shoulder injury, the other two just bumps and bruises.
