11-15-06 - Students at Buck Lake Elementary are jumping rope to raise funds for the American Heart Association.

During the next few days students will learn the importance of exercise and volunteering through the "Jump Rope for Heart" event.

Students are also raising money for the research and education of cardiovascular disease, the goal is $10,000. If met, their gym teacher is going to shave her head.

Of course, experts said one of the best ways to take care of your heart is to make exercise a regular part of your everyday life.
