Fire destroyed a mobile home just before sunup. It happened on Red Gum Court in Tallahassee.
Neighbors said they awakened to hear popping and crackling and to see flames shooting 20 feet high. Next-door neighbor Becky Cook says she feared her house would be next.
"We have a wood pile that's right at the property boundary and gas tanks filled for the bird flu thing and I was scared to death. I really was. I've already been through one house fire and I don't want to go through another one."
Neighbors said the trailer is vacant and up for sale after foreclosure.
Chief Rufus Graddy with the Tallahassee Fire Department says the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
