Not long after Devoe Moore bought a batmobile, he found out he'd been hoodwinked.
"I started getting phone calls indicating it was finished in 1998. The TV series was back in the 60s," says DeVoe Moore.
Moore thought he'd bought a vintage 60s batmobile. At $190,000, turned out he paid about three times what the 1990's replica was worth.
Moore wanted to add to his Batman memorabilia collection. The good news, he got a refund on the fake and the same auctioneer has sold it again, this time admitting it's a replica.
There are five batmobiles that were used in the original TV series. Moore says if he can't buy one of those he'd settle for a replica, but next time he'll pay a lot less.
