The tickets are 20 bucks each and only one and a quarter million were printed, making the odds of winning the best of any state Lottery game.
The tickets sold out in less than two weeks. Now some of those tickets have turned up on eBay. But the Lottery department says that’s illegal.
"Anyone who purchases a Florida Lottery ticket from anyone other than a Florida Lottery authorized retailer risks the chance of being arrested and going to jail and being prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law because it is illegal to buy our products from anyone other than our retailers."
Steele says eBay has already removed the tickets from their auction list. It turns out it was also a violation of eBay’s internal policies to sell lottery tickets.
The drawing for the holiday millionaire raffle takes place on New Year’s Day.
