More than 260 businesses in Valdosta alone participate in the "Drugs Don't Work" program.
It's a regional program that educates employees on the dangers of drugs.
By participating in the program each business also receives a 7.5 percent break on their workman's comp premiums.
"He comes in and teaches employees and the supervisors about drug use, how to detect it, how to prevent it, and the advantages. So you get a safer working environment as a result of this program," said Valdosta Chamber Chairman Tim Carroll.
Business owners say they also save money because less drug use means fewer workplace accidents and insurance claims.
