Ten Leon County Schools Get New Principals

Leon County School Superintendent Jackie Pons appointed ten new principals. This is part of his new principals in transition program. The new principals are taking over for retirees and current principals who have received promotions.

"It shows how important we think leadership is in our schools and that we are willing to do everything we can to work with our principals to provide the professional development where they will be successful. This will make sure that our students are successful," said Pons.

The program allows new principals to get acquainted with the School Advisory Counsel, the Parent Teacher Organization and teachers working at their school.
