Thomasville, GA - The morning started off bright and early as folks in Thomasville at Restoration Tabernacle Ministries came together for the 4TH Annual Humanitarian Walk of Faith in Thomasville. It was all to honor the late Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. "Great humanitarian and we want to celebrate his accomplishment and his legacy today," said Corey L. King, Restoration Tabernacle Ministries Pastor

More than 100 walker made up of community members as well as city representatives walked a two mile loop down Broad Street as a way to symbolize what Dr. King did for society. "To reflect on where we've come from and where we're going and I think we've come a long way in 50 years," said Donn Sims, Thomasville City Council Member.

The Walk wasn't the only important part of the celebration, Restoration Tabernacle Ministries also honored humanitarians for their involvement in the community. Lucinda Brown was honored last year for her work with children. "I was so surprised because I had no idea that I had been nominated and to just think that people feel that way about me and thought that way about me," said Lucinda Brown, Grand Marshal at Walk of Faith.

Other organizations were also there showing their support to the community. "Anytime there is anything going on in our community that speaks to the positive we want to be apart of that," said Christopher Sheffield, Southern Elite Riders President.

The folks at the Humanitarian Walk of Faith tell us Dr. King's speech has become a reality, but they say there is still more work to be done.
