State and local laws prohibit the sale of alcohol on Sundays, which happens to be New Year's Eve this year.
Some liquor store owners say they're in favor of the law even though it could cut into revenue. Others say they hope residents think to stock up before the big party.
Steve Hoover is celebrating the new year, "Not selling alcohol on Sundays, especially this Sunday is not going to bother me at all. Because I already have all the alcohol I need for the New Year's Eve Celebration."
And of course law enforcement agencies are beefing up patrols this holiday weekend, keeping an extra eye out for impaired drivers.
