Bed Bug Heater

Bed bugs can attack mattresses in homes, hotel rooms & dormitories.
Now experts say to get rid of them, crank up the heat.
University of Florida researchers are using a method similar to a convection oven, and this means no need for the use of pesticides.
"Basically, we put all the furniture of the room at the center of the room, we create an oven around it by using insulation boards. And, then inside the box, we put two heaters and fans so that the air is heated and it's circulated within the box," says UF researcher Roberto Pereira.
The environmental protection agency has prohibited the use of pesticides to kill bed bugs.
UF researchers say this system has sparked the interest of commercial operators who regularly do bed bug control.
