The public can learn more about Burmese pythons and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s (FWC) permit program by going to MyFWC.com and clicking on the “Quick Clicks” link for Burmese pythons. The new Web page provides answers to Frequently Asked Questions. Links to recent news releases also are posted.
The permit holders for the first phase of Burmese python permit program have already been selected, and all permits have been issued. Permit holders may search for pythons only on specific state-managed lands in the Everglades area.
