The FAMU-FSU College of Engineering is given a new name.

Hundreds looked on as the building was named for longtime Florida lawmaker Herb Morgan.

Morgan passed away in December of 2003 after a battle with cancer. The FSU graduate served in Florida's House of Representatives from 1974 to 1986.

He served as chairman of the Appropriations and Rules Committees and played a major role in securing funding for the College of Engineering.
