The Latma Christian Academy in Madison held a commemorative breakfast in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s birthday.
Students, community leaders and members reflected on Dr. King's legacy through prayer, song and recitals.
Emily Spencer, Principal of Latma Christian Academy, said, "It's so very important to start off understanding that we are all from god and he has a purpose in our life. As Dr. King preached and taught that we likewise will be able to be utilized in this world, helping to make it the wonderful place that we should enjoy."
The guest speaker of the event was motivational speaker Tracy Cleveland of Tallahassee.
