Wednesday was Larry Carter's last day, as he gets ready to go into retirement.
For almost 70 years, the Carter family has been working for the public transportation for the City of Tallahassee.
Over the years, carter says he's enjoyed watching the city bus system expand.
"I feel great. I've watched the system grow. We as a community have a great opportunity to make TalTran even better," said Larry.
The city asked carter for his resignation, because they say it's time for TalTran to move into a new direction. Carter says he plans to stay very involved in the community.
