The holiday season is known to be a little hectic with all the holiday activities. That's why a new website has been designed to help strengthen marriages, which are often neglected during the hustle and bustle.
Larry and Ann Nunnally have seen Christmas seasons come and go together for 33 years now. Ann Nunnally says this time of year should be full of joy and love, but sometimes it tends to be stressful and can take a serious toll on a relationship.
"You feel the pressure of buying gifts for everybody you may not necessarily have the money spend purchasing gifts and there's so many more activities everybody's calendars are packed," said Ann Nunnally.
That's why the couple has played a role in bringing MarriageNet to Thomas County. MarriageNet.org provides a database of resources dealing with issues from budgeting to dealing with the in-laws.
"The whole MarriageNet organization is strengthening marriages all over the country and Thomasville/Thomas County is a test case for that. We've gotten together with pastors and churches to bring marriage net here to strengthen families," said Larry Nunnally.
The couple is hoping MarriageNet is successful in this area. They say programs like this will help strengthen marriages not only during the holiday season, but also through all seasons of a marriage.
MarriageNet.org is a free online resource, founded by the Georgia Family Council. The database of the website includes national and local resources.
