Police say a cyclist is to blame for a car hitting him on FSU's campus. It all happened Wednesday morning near Stadium Drive and Call Street.
Tallahassee police say 20-year-old Alex Ohman was cycling east on Call Street and ran a red light. That's when he was struck by a Nissan Altima.
"Bicyclists are required to observe the same rules of the road that motorists do. As far as stopping for lights and signs, everything has to be followed as if you were driving a car, so wear a helmet and be extremely careful," said Ken Bergstrom with the Tallahassee Police Department.
Ohman was taken to the hospital with a broken leg and a minor head injury.
Police says Ohman, a member of FSU's cycling team, was not wearing a helmet.
