Debate Among FAMU Trustees Over Presidential Interviews

1-25-07 - A decision out of Florida A&M University will have an affect on the school's presidential candidates.

A spokesperson for the university says candidates will not be permitted to see questions for their final interview on February 1.

This issue sparked debate among trustee members this week during a conference call.

The other option was to allow all three candidates to see the questions before hand and for the questions to be made public.

"If the candidates are serious enough about the position, they'll go ahead and prepare themselves adequately and wouldn't need any type of extra preparation like that," said FAMU sophomore Antoinette Abington.

The three presidential finalists are Doctors James Ammons, Howard Johnson and Thelma Thompson. The university hopes to announce the winner on March 8.
