25 at-risk kids in Leon County received the ultimate hook up Friday afternoon as they received a "new" computer.
A select group of students from Booker T. Washington Success Academy were handed their very own PC equipped with 40 gig hard drives.
Organizers say these computers will help bridge the academic achievement gap for the students as they get ready for another school year.
"It will probably give me an advantage to do most of my stuff at home and I can look it up," says Antonio Gaskins, who received a computer.
The computers were originally donated to the program by the Attorney General's Office and refurbished into top shape by Lutheran Social Services and FSU's College of Communication and Information.
This is the first year the Go Beyond Foundation was in action, and staff say they are hoping to make this a staple program in the community from now on.
