"Merry Christmas" Bill Debated

Christmas came and went over a month ago, yet lawmakers in Georgia are debating over the holiday.

State Rep. Clay Cox is sponsoring a bill which will allow teachers, public employees and students to say, "merry Christmas" without fear.

The question of whether government employees should say "happy holidays" instead of "merry Christmas" has been debated in Georgia as well as the entire country.

Georgia's House Civil Judiciary Committee gave the measure preliminary approval which would apply to all public and legal holidays.
