They're polishing up the instruments and packing up the uniforms, gearing up for an exciting weekend.
FAMU's Marching 100 band will be stepping to the beat of Super Bowl Sunday. They've performed at the White House, the Grammys, and now they're headed back for their fourth Super Bowl.
Wednesday morning supporters of the band came out to wish them well. The university hosted the official sendoff celebration on campus. About 235 band members loaded on to six buses to make the trip to Miami for Super Bowl 41.
Band members say although they've participated in some high profile events in the past, this one is really exciting. The band will be performing with mega-star singer Prince during the halftime show.
So will the performance include some surprises? The band tells WCTV they've been sworn to secrecy, but we did find out that the Super Bowl committee made slight alterations to the band's uniforms.
The game starts just after 6:30 Sunday night on CBS.
