Wednesday, students named their favorite.

Some members of the student body, along with alumni, are endorsing Presidential Candidate Dr. James Ammons, the school's former provost.

Students are asking the Board of Trustees to consider their opinion when making the final decision.

"I think he has invested in trustees as an alum, and the university, he has a very strong fundraiser campaign, as well as recruitment campaign for our university, something that is very well needed," said William Miller, FAMU National Alumni President.

Also being considered are Dr. Howard Johnson, Vice President of the University of North Texas, and Dr. Thelma Thompson, President of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.

FAMU's Board of Trustees meets tomorrow to discuss and interview all three candidates before making a final decision.
