The students were ready to go as they learned a new dance at the Tully Gym at Florida State University. High School students were encouraged to sign up and take part in the "Miracle Marathon". Money earned from the mini-dance-marathon benefits the Children's Miracle Network.
Dana Teller is the Director of the mini-dance marathon. "This is just another way to raise funds and to also raise awareness for Children's Miracle Network, and raise funds that go towards dance marathon of Florida State's totals. So in one aspect it's kind of another special event, but it's just taken on a whole new realm.
The six hour event also featured games and music. The "Miracle Marathon" is the kickoff to the larger dance-marathon which happens in two weeks.
