The new prices will go into effect March 1st. The city manager says the increase will fund necessary improvements to the city's sewage system. He says right now, the city's 165 miles of sewer lines are very old, and in need of repair. The utility rate hikes vary, but residents with CNS Cable could see a hike anywhere from 45-cents to as much as seven dollars a month.
