Wakulla Springs Biologist Gets Top Honor

A Wakulla Springs state park biologist is the recipient of a high honor.

Scott Savery was recognized by Gov. Charlie Crist and the Cabinet for what they called his hard work and dedication to the state's environment.

Savery was named the 2006 Department of Environmental Protection Resource Manager of the Year.

Savery works with prescribed fire management and the hydrilla control program. He has been with the park service for more than two decades.
