A fatal accident claims the life of a Chattahoochee man.
Florida Highway Patrol officers say around 6 p.m. Saturday night, 54-year-old Curtis Deese was riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound on County Road 375 when a deer attempted to cross the road.
Deese struck the deer causing it to wrap around his motorcycle and striking the right side of the driver's seat. Deese was thrown off the motorcycle. He later died at the scene.
Another accident, this one near Watumpka, takes the life of a teenager early Saturday morning. Florida State Troopers tell us 17-year-old Timothy Spears from Cottonwood, Alabama was visiting with relatives in Crawfordville.
Troopers say he was driving on 267 when he crossed over the line into oncoming traffic and smashed into this semi. Investigators say he was ejected from the car. The driver of the semi suffered minor injuries.
It took Troopers more than three hours to clear the scene.
