Home Invasion Robbery

3-9-07 - A woman was beaten by robbers in her own home and rushed to the hospital. Now Gadsden County deputies need your help finding the culprits.

This is an ongoing investigation. For now deputies are releasing some information and they're hoping witnesses will help them solve this crime.

Gadsden County investigators say two black males forced their way into a home on Iron Bridge Road, demanding money. Deputies say when the suspects discovered the woman had no cash they began beating her with some type of object.

Investigators have collected some evidence at the scene and will get more information from the victim once she's released from the hospital.

Ulysses Jenkins said, "The details are really sketchy right now. They're trying to lock the victim into a story. We've got ACI blood hounds out here who found a track, which spilled out to a church across the street. Apparently they got into a vehicle and fled the area."

The victim told deputies the suspect fled in a new white mustang. A canine unit from Jackson County searched the perimeter of the house, discovering a shoe print not too far from the crime scene.
