In the coming months a new juvenile center will open its doors to young criminals in Gadsden County.
The Gadsden County Sheriff's Office partnered with an agency to bring a program for low to moderate risk offenders to the rural area.
The "Buffalo Academy" will become a residential home for juveniles who often find themselves with hardened criminals.
Buffalo Academy offers several options to help kids get on the right track of the law once they're released.
Nancy Gee said, "There's a strong proponent of this program. We're looking to make sure these young people are going to be academically ready so when they do come out of this program they can read and write."
The program will begin in October of this year, and organizers are looking for the ideal place to house the juvenile center.
