Wanda Coronado thought she'd see her baby boy again.

After a long and emotional 13 hour drive, she was finally reunited with her one year old.

"I didn't expect it from him, but I was scared I was feeling alot of different emotions because I was in shock I really was," says Wanda.

Little Malakai was kidnapped in the middle of the night from his Texas home by his noncustodial father, only to be found a couple states away by Leon County Sheriff's Deputies.

Wanda calls SGT Larry Folsom a hero...but he says he was just in the right place at the right time.

"I'm just one small part of a very large team that has been looking for this child and thuis vehicle. I was just the one lucky enough to find it," says Folsom.

Wanda and her best friend Roxanne Couch say today's events played out like a scene in a movie.

"Nobody thinks this would happen. You never think you'd wake up and your significant other would leave with the child you know? And like she said you never think this would happen to her or anybody we've been close to," says Couch.

Jose Mascorro also stole Wanda's debit card and took out four hundred and sixty dollars.

He's being held in the Leon County Jail awaiting extradition.

"He's gonna be with mom everywhere now, I can't trust anybody anymore," says Wanda.

Wanda Coronado woke up to her worst nightmare.

911 Operator: Ma'am tell me exactly what happened.

Caller: I just woke up and I realized that my son is gone and my boyfriend took him...and he's a baby.

"I asked him to bring him back and he said no because he says he's the dad. But he's not on the birth certificate. I didn't even know. He didn't ask permission. He just left! I just want him back because I miss him," says Wanda Coronado.

Her son Malakai was taken by his father, who does not have custody of the child.

Here in Tallahassee, Leon County Sheriff's deputies got word from U.S. Marshals in Texas that Amber Alert suspects would be coming through the area.

"Several task force members and I, Leon County deputy sheriffs got up on the interstate we started checking hotels in the area to see if maybe they were going to stop for the night and just setting up on the interstate to see if the vehicle came by and lo and behold I was sitting at Olson Road and saw the vehicle drive by," says Sgt. Larry Folsom, with the Leon County Sheriff's Office.

Malakai's family is just happy he's alright.

"I thought my baby brother was dead already. But he's not," says Amariah Coronado.

Although Malakai was found unharmed, police did find two handguns in the car and quite a bit of ammunition.

Jose Mascarro is being held in the Leon County jail, awaiting extradition.

Ok Tinkerbell, sad for you and child, but this story was not about you. This was a nice story and most of us DO care. When things don't go your way, you don't stop caring...you keep fighting. Im glad the boy is home safely. Why do Dads think they can get away with this? It makes no sense. Oh hey Tink, you need to take it up a level with law enforcement until you get justice. I would never give up on my kids.

Ya know, this makes me sick. BIG DEAL!!!!!! My son was kidnapped right here, abused in more ways than one, law enforcement called by the child, report made by Minister witnessing the child being slapped and choked, bloody napkin from being punched in the nose, 911 call made by child, family therapist report and testimony, and soooooooo much more and NOT ONE THING WAS DONE TO PROTECT MY CHILD. So, BIG DEAL on this story-----------I DON'T CARE.
