Home Invasion Shooting Sends Two Tallahassee Women to Hospital

Police say they were able to round up the two men quickly because the victims were able to give a description before being taken to the hospital.

Police say they're looking into a possible link between these attempted murders and another shooting early Sunday morning.

Marion Randolph says she heard her daughter screaming early Monday morning. "I dialed 9-1-1 and talked with her until they came, that's all," she says.

Police say behind the house on Holton Street is where two men tried to kill two women.

"We've arrested two suspects for attempted first-degree murder," says Stewart Clendinen, TPD Spokesperson.

Police say that's because the victims were able to give descriptions of their assailants before going to the hospital.

"This is a great example of how good police work solves big cases," adds Clendinen.

Police say both men are being held in the county jail. Sergio Dominic Chow and Matthew L. Dixon are both charged with attempted first-degree murder.

Neighbors say they're glad the suspects were caught because they don't like this happening on their street.

"It's not a half bad neighborhood. I've never seen anything like this, but it's a great neighborhood," says neighbor Tark Jackson.

Marion Randolph, the mother of one of the victims says she's not surprised.

"I can't say I'm angry. I hope this is a wake up call for her. With the lifestyle you're living in the street, these things are going to happen," says Marion Randolph, the victim's mother.

Investigators say they are looking into any connections between this case and the shooting that took place on Main Street early Sunday Morning. In that shooting, 32-year-old Antonio Steele was shot. His condition is not being released right now.

As of late Monday afternoon, the victim's mother said that both women were out of surgery and that was all she knew for sure, and no other information is being released.
