Let the games begin! Some special athletes got a chance to go for the gold.
Special Olympians from all across the big bend competed in the field games Saturday at Godby High School in Tallahassee.
From track and field, to cycling and bocce, many got an opportunity to show off their talents, hoping to qualify for state competitions in
Orlando.
Event organizer, Donnie Jacobs, says they're all winners, "We coined a phrase a while ago that if you had fun you already won and that's what these kinds wanna do is just come out have a good time, run their hearts out."
WCTV's own Frank Ranicky was the grand marshal at this year's Special Olympics.
