Hundreds of people were making strides against breast cancer today. And they were celebrating every step of the way.
The 5K walk sponsored by the American Cancer Society got off the ground at the Southwood Town Center.
Breast cancer survivors and their families walked together to bring awareness in the community and raise money to help fight the illness.
One in eight women nation wide will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their life time.
The Making Strides walk has raised more than $340 million since it first began in 1993.
And WCTV's very own Julie Montenaro was there to cheer on walkers and greet them with a smile at the finish line.
