It's tough to imagine someone sexually battering a woman in broad daylight, especially on a busy street just after ten in the morning.
But authorities that's what went down on South Patterson Street Monday.
The victim gave police enough information for them to develop a composite sketch of the suspect.
The victim describes the suspect as 5’9”, 170 to 180 pounds with dirty short blonde hair. He was wearing khaki pants and a white shirt with brown leather shoes at the time of the incident.
Officials say the fact the criminal was so daring is the biggest concern.
"One thing that's out of the ordinary is the time of day it occurred, stranger on stranger incident, very unusual. Very uncommon," said LT Bernard Robinson.
Police urge anyone with information on the case to call the Valdosta Tip Line at 229-293-3091.
Authorities stress the importance of the public's assistance on these types of cases.
