Hundreds of local college students came together Wednesday to make the earth a better place.
FS United and the Environmental Service Program are hosting Unity Day and Earth Day on FSU’s campus.
The event featured food, games, vendors and exhibitors offering information about protecting the environment.
"It was just to make people aware on campus that they can get involved and do simple things to help make the earth better," said FSU student Stephanie Somsky.
The National Earth Day falls during finals week so students changed the date of the celebration in order to attract as many people as possible.
About 1,500 were in attendance Wednesday.
